Feldkirchen/Munich, 05 March 2012 – In continuing its strategy of global growth, Nanotec Electronic, the renowned manufacturer of drive solutions, has opened a subsidiary in the United States. The Nanotec subsidiary, which is headquartered in Medford, Massachusetts, goes by the name of Nanotec Electronic US, Inc., and will cover the American and Canadian markets. In addition to direct sales, the company is concentrating on establishing a US-wide dealership network. Nanotec has been active in the USA since 2011 with dealerships. By establishing its own subsidiary in the country, Nanotec intends to improve and further expand reseller support. Sales partners and customers will be able to procure Nanotec products, even in large order quantities, directly in the USA. The entire Nanotec product spectrum will be available from the subsidiary. One focus will be on hybrid linear actuators, which are increasingly being used as alternatives to pneumatic and hydraulic linear actuators. In addition, the standard range of products will be extended to include the Plug & Drive motors developed by Nanotec in Germany that feature an integrated motor controller, BLDC drive and intelligent motor controllers. "In the USA, as elsewhere, we have noticed a trend toward drives with powerful electronics that make them capable of handling control tasks independently without requiring a higher level PLC," says Stephan Huber, Managing Director of Nanotec Electronic GmbH & Co. KG. Nanotec succeeded in winning over Michael McShane, an experienced drive expert with detailed knowledge of the market, to build the business on location in the US. The US subsidiary is a further step in the globalization strategy of the manufacturer from Feldkirchen near Munich, which entered the Chinese market early on through a joint venture. With its own subsidiary, it set up a production facility that operates according to German quality standards in ChangZhou in 2008. The new Nanotec subsidiary will be introduced at the ATX East, which is taking place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (booth 2655) from 22 to 24 May 2012.
