Lead screws with ACME thread have a flank angle of 29° and are ideal for use as drive screws. Lead screws with large thread leads are used for fast movements, whereas screws with small leads should be chosen for transmitting large forces. All ACME screws are available in different lengths and with a range of diameters and leads.
