Feldkirchen, November 2013 – Nanotec Electronic launches the new BLDC motor ASB87, specifically developed for rugged environments. The 3-phase motor with a size of 87 mm (NEMA 34) is IP65-rated except for the shaft output, and has a built-in 1024 pulses/revolution magnetic incremental encoder. Complete IP65 rating of the ASB87 with shaft seal is available for OEM customers upon request. With the ASB87, Nanotec Electronic offers a further model in its range of IP-protected BLDC motors in addition to the tried-and-tested ASB42 with a size of 42 mm. The magnetic incremental encoder is built into the housing and is perfect for rugged industrial environments on account of its design. The fact that this encoder does not require additional Hall sensors enhances its reliability. The reference signal is synchronous to the hall phase for even more exact positioning. Its maximum speed is 3000 rpm with a rated power of 250 W. The peak torque is 2 Nm in a housing measuring just 129 mm in length. Nanotec will be presenting the ASB87 as well as various other new control technology products and brushless DC servomotors at the SPS in Nuremberg (Hall 4, Booth 582).
