Feldkirchen, 25 May 2012 – With the PD4-N5918M model, Nanotec Electronic is closing the gap in its spectrum of IP65-protected Plug & Drive motors. The motor, with a length of 80.6 mm, features a torque of up to 1.13 N and speeds of up to 2400 rpm. The operating voltage is 12 to 48 volts. Integrated Plug & Drive stepper motors are used wherever speed, high precision and compact design are required. They are characterized by high-torque stepper motors combined with especially smooth-running dspDrive technology developed by Nanotec and an integrated position control system with an encoder. The IP models of the PD-N series are equipped with M12 connections and are ideal for use in rough application environments. They are protected from splash water, resist the effects of dust and are EMC-compatible; they can withstand temperatures from -10 to +40° C. The PD4-N-IP models are compatible with Plug & Drive motors in other sizes and thus offer a developer the ability to implement uniform communication and control technology in mixed environments. As with all PD4 motors, the mid-sized PD4-N5918M motor can be operated in closed loop mode and operates in this mode with high precision and low resonance, without step errors. The Plug & Drive motor is available with a RS485 or CANopen interface. Nanotec makes user-friendly software available for programming free of charge in the form of NanoPro or, for CANopen environments, NanoCAN.
