Feldkirchen/Munich – March 5, 2012 – In continuing its strategy of global growth Nanotec Electronic GmbH & Co. KG has opened a subsidiary in the United States. The Madford (Massachusetts) based subsidiary of the renowned drive solution manufacturer operates under the name Nanotec Electronic US, Inc. and will cover the entire US and Canadian market. In addition to direct sales, the company will also focus on establishing a US-wide dealer network. Since 2011, Nanotec US products have been sold through resellers and directly to the industry. The founding of a separate subsidiary will further improve and expand the support available for resellers. As a result, sales partners and end customers will in future also be able to purchase Nanotec products in large quantities directly via the USA. The US subsidiary will offer the manufacturer's entire product range. Here, particular emphasis will be on the hybrid linear actuators that are increasingly being used as an alternative to pneumatic or hydraulic linear actuators. Furthermore, the Plug & Drive motors, which were developed by Nanotec in Germany and feature an integrated controller, BLDC drives and intelligent motor controllers, are offered in addition to the standard range of stepper motors. "We'll see a trend towards drives with high-quality electronics combined with intelligent controllers, which are capable of performing control tasks without a higher-leveled PLC," says Stephan Huber, Managing Director of Nanotec Electronic GmbH & Co. KG. Nanotec was able to recruit Michael McShane, an experienced drive specialist and market expert, to develop the business on site. The US subsidiary is a further step in the globalization strategy of the manufacturer from Feldkirchen near Munich, which very early on committed to a joint venture in China; in 2008, this saw the founding of a separate subsidiary in ChangZhou and the construction of a product facility that meets German quality standards. The new Nanotec subsidiary debuts at the ATX East trade fair, taking place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from May 22 – 24 2012 (Booth 2655).
