Modbus RTU The controller can be controlled with Modbus RTU. The Master has to support function code 2Bh MEI Type 0Dh (Encapsulated Interface Transport) in order to set parameter. Otherwise a parametrising via the configuration file is also possible (see chapter Configuration file). General Settings Function codes Data Access Diagnostics Encapsulated Interface Transport (FC43) Read complete object dictionary (FC101) Read complete array or record (FC102) Process data objects (PDO) NanoJ Objects RS-232 and RS-485 When using connector RS-485 keep in mind setting jumper J1 and J2 to the correct position (see also chapter Jumper J1/J2). For the use of the RS-232 interface only the correct connector is to be used, a configuration is not necessary. The "Two-Wire Modbus Interface" in accordance with EIA/TIA-485 (RS-485) standard is supported. In principle the Modbus RTU can be used on RS-232 and RS-485 in parallel. An unused bus can be switched off with the objects 2102h. The object 2103h tells the active field busses.
